Somatic Movement Group Classes offer guided slow mindful movements to release chronic tension, open new pathways and improve overall body awareness. Learn how to pause and encourage space, breathe more deeply, release tension and calm the nervous system. (75 min)
In this class we will learn and investigate the first 13 postures of Yang style Tai Chi (short form). The class will begin with a gentle warm up lying down in constructive rest position and transition to the standing integration of the principles into a classic Tai Chi sequence. All levels welcome. This offering will take place at Fort Ruger Park in Kahala, aka Triangle Park, every Fri 11am-12 and Sat morning from 8-9am (weather permitting). The class is based on Ashtanga Yoga- synchronizing breath to movement in a steady, flowing sequence. Junko's EASY FLOW YOGA provides an opportunity for slow, deep stretches with meditative awareness and focused attention on alignment and deepening the breath. All levels, ages and experience are welcome. (60 min)
